SOCIAL AND HEALTH-CARE CENTRE

At the end of April 2004, the municipality of Kechnec inaugurated the first part of the newly built social and health complex. In its premises there are outpatient clinics of a district doctor for adults, a district doctor for children and adolescents, a dentist, a gynaecologist, an internist, an orthopaedic surgeon and a rheumatologist. In the complex there is a professionally equipped rehabilitation workplace, an ear-nose department, a pharmacy, and an intensive care unit and a diagnostic centre, including laboratories, are being prepared.

Currently, the municipality is building the second part of the complex, which consists of an operating theatre and a bed section with a capacity of 126 beds (30 medical beds, 10 geriatric beds and 86 for a nursing home. The building already provides health care for the employees of the Kechnec Industrial Zone.
