EUROPEAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL
Kechnec municipality officials are planning to build an Integrated European School in the southern part of the municipality. The aim of the project was to create opportunities for the training of qualified professionals according to the needs of the Kechnec Industrial Zone.
- The school would also create an opportunity for foreign language education for the families of foreign investors and international education for the entire surrounding region (developing cross-border cooperation with the nearby Republic of Hungary).
- The focus of the school should be more practical than theoretical. The management of the school would work closely with individual companies from PZ Kechnec and the professional staff of the companies would have the opportunity to participate in the learning process of the school.
- The companies would also provide technological equipment. Part of the education would be student exchanges, which the school would carry out in partnership with similar schools abroad.
The integrated European school will provide teaching in foreign languages – English, German, possibly French. Pupils would have the opportunity to start as early as kindergarten and continue within the same institution up to university level.
The school complex will include:
- multi-purpose classrooms, laboratories for research
- swimming pool with sauna,
- kitchen with dining room for 800 to 1000 diners,
- dormitory for students,
- wheelchair accessible entrances,
- gym and other sports facilities,
- Kindergarten,
- library and computer room,
- outpatient clinic for children and adolescents,
- central car park – 30 parking spaces
